Posts: 1696 08/21/08 12:33 PM	Tags : None So the new season starts Sept 22nd - a 3 night premier. Cast announcement is Monday the 25th on Good Morning America. Any ideas on who will be dancing this time around? I haven't paid any attention to any rumors or anything, but all I can say is that I hope Maks is back this season. Oh, and that Karina is gone! The show will continue to follow the format of previous seasons, with 12 couples. The show will continue to be hosted by Tom Bergeron as well as Samantha Harris. Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli, and Carrie Ann Inaba will continue to be judges this season. The official cast announcement will be made on the morning of August 25, 2008 on Good Morning America. This is the third season to have its cast announced on GMA.[1][2] Warren Sapp[3] and Cybill Shepherd[4] have both discussed being invited to compete, and have expressed interest in doing so, while Rev. Al Sharpton[5] and Emmy Award-winner Kathy Griffin[6] declined invitations. In Touch Weekly claims that Lance Bass, Toni Braxton, Florence Henderson, Kim Kardashian, Dan Marino, and Ty Murray will all compete in season 7; the show's producers have neither confirmed nor denied the report.[7] Hellomagazine.com claims that Tom Selleck[8] and Adam West[9] will also join the cast of season 7. Though rumored to not join this season for a music tour schedule, professional dancer Julianne Hough will return on the show this season. It is also confirmed that she has met her partner. [10]

Posts: 1106 08/22/08 9:37 AM Soap Fan	I read on another website that Maks is confirmed to be coming back. I hope so and he better be on for a while. He's my fave male dancer. If Tom Selleck is still looking as good as he was when he was on Friends I wouldn't mind seeing him dance.

Posts: 1696 08/25/08 2:12 PM	So here's a list off some site I found: Kim Kardashian, reality TV star Cloris Leachman, Oscar-winning actress Maurice Greene, Olympic sprinter, Lance Bass, former N' Sync star Rocco DiSpirito, TV chef Warren Sapp, NFL star Misty May-Treanor, Olympic beach volleyballer Toni Braxton, Grammy award-winning R&B star Cody Linley, that cute kid from "Hannah Montana" show Ted McGinley, veteran actor (who I hated on "Happy Days") Brooke Burke, actress/TV personality Jeffrey Ross, celebrity roaster and comedian Susan Lucci, "All My Children" star So not impressed - again. Lance I like and since I like him, I'm sure he'll be the first off. Looks like the figure Maks brings in enough female viewers that they have to put in hot chicks for guys to tune into. And for the life of me, I can't figure out who the cute kid from Hannah Montana is. Well, let's hope Maks is paired with someone decent enough not to get kicked off in the first 2 episodes.

Posts: 1106 08/25/08 3:16 PM Soap Fan	I think Maks is with the volley ball player. I didn't watch much of the Olympics, but I'm assuming she's pretty tall and muscular since she plays volleyball. I don't think that goes well for ballroom dancing, but I guess we will see. Laila Ali did well and she had an athletic build.

Posts: 1696 09/23/08 7:55 PM	So what'd everyone think? I was surprised at how bad Susan Lucci was. Seems like a woman who spends her life on tv would be more comfortable than she looked. Misty was better than I'd expected. Was so hoping Karina would be out with that injury, but whatever. Warren looked good. Cody is just annoying and I wouldn't be surprised if he's one of the first ones off because of his "Julianne's so hot" personality. I liked seeing Corky and thought he did a nice job with Cloris - although she left much to be desired personality wise too. So far it seems to be an okay season - everyone is kind of in the middle, no one super great and no one super bad.

Maks is my favorite male dancer but his partner just isn't that great.They paired my favorite female dancer,Julianne, with that annoying Cody who I just want to see go home. Maybe they should do a season with just the pros

I like his partner's choreography, but I hope it doesn't get them kicked out earlier since it isn't traditional. I bet Lacey would create a great freestyle. I love Maks too, but Misty isn't really growing on me. I think Brooke and Toni are good. That's about it. Does anyone know which 2 dancers are married? They mentioned on one of the first shows that there was a married couple, but I wasn't sure who it was.

I'm with you, though, Rose, in that I hope Lacey's choreography doesn't get them kicked off. At some point she's going to have to show that she can come up with a traditional dance. So far I've been wondering how she got on the show in the first place. Misty isn't growing on me either. But I love Maks! Brooke isn't as annoying as I thought she'd be. Neither was Kim Kardashian, although I still didn't like her. She reminded me of Jennie Garth who kept saying, "I'm just not sexy." and blah, blah, blah. Although I liked Mark Ballas, so I'm mad he's gone. Can't believe Cloris is still there though. And I'm wondering how long Cody can stick around because he's coming off as such an idiot. You can sure tell he's not the most mature 18-year-old on the planet. From the clips they've shown, I'm wondering how Julianne puts up with him during rehearsals. Warren Sapp I've come to love too. He could stay til the end and I'd be happy. He seems like a fun guy.
