Summary: With Jason still stuck in the hospital, Sam decides to bring him some holiday cheer, but in true JaSam spirit, they are interrupted...
He was glad that the bandage that had been wrapped around his head was gone, replaced only by a small one covering the incision. He still didn’t care for having to stay in bed. Monica had recently come by and told him that if he didn’t stop taking walks she’d be forced to sedate him…and not like Dr. Drake had earlier.
So here he was. Jason Morgan. Trapped in a small hospital room, confined to a bed. It was probably a good thing that Manny Ruiz was occupying a room of his own in the hospital, as this would be a prime opportunity for someone to take him out. Sam had left about an hour ago, and he was glad that she would be going home to get some rest, rather than the short naps she had been taking in bed with him, although he rather enjoyed it. He always enjoyed having her in his arms. He was sure though, that she would be back in a few hours. A big part of him was glad that she stayed with him all the time, leaving only to get food or change clothes. But the pattern was starting to wear her out, and he noticed. His thoughts turned to that ring he had placed on her finger before he got stuck here. That ring had been burning a hole in his pocket since he bought it, and he was grateful that it was now on her finger, where it belonged. Before long his thoughts were of Sam in a gown, not like the one she had worn to their first attempted wedding though. That had been a sham. No, this gown would flatter her figure. It would be long, elegant, but not extravagant. It would be simple, but beautiful. As he allowed himself to drift off, he found himself dreaming of what their impending wedding would be like.
He didn’t know how long he had slept. But he was glad he had. Thankfully there had been no interruptions from Robin, Patrick or Noah Drake or anyone, and he was able to finish his dream of his wedding to the real love of his life. He glanced at the clock on the wall, noticing that he had slept for only an hour. It took him a minute to notice that Sam wasn’t in the room. “I’m surprised she isn’t back by now,” talking to himself aloud.
In actuality, she was just waiting for him to wake up. She had gone home, showered, and grabbed a change of clothes, and her calf length leather jacket before stopping at Kelly’s to pick up some of Mike’s Christmas cookies. When she got back to the hospital, she peeked through the window, and smiled upon seeing his sleeping figure. Deciding to let him nap a little longer, she had walked around a bit, and stopped to see Monica. When her future mother-in-law inquired as to why she was still wearing her buttoned up jacket, she had merely said that it was a surprise for Jason. Monica’s cheeks reddened for a second, before smiling broadly at her, and wishing her luck.
A short while later, she was back at his door, watching him stretch through the window before opening the door and placing a scarf over the top, effectively blocking the view into the hall.
“What are you up to?” He asked, watching her intently as she sauntered towards him, setting her small duffel bag down by his bedside. She opened the bag and pulled out the cookies and a Santa hat. For a minute, he thought she was going to attempt to put the hat on his head, but she seemed to sense his reluctance, and placed the hat on her own head. She gave him a small grin and a kiss on the cheek before backing away from the bed and closing the blinds.

“We’ve tried this before remember?” He reminded her of when she had tried this last week, which had gone wonderfully, until Carly had barged in.
“She’s back at Rose Lawn,” his fiancée said quietly. “Sit up.” He obliged her, quickly sitting up in his bed, adjusting his pillow behind him.
He took a moment to admire the sight in front of him. His beautiful Samantha. Adorned in a Santa Claus hat, long black leather jacket, buttoned all the way up, and calf high boots. The only skin showing was the bit of leg from where the coat ended, to where the boots began. He was sure that she was indeed up to something, and began to imagine what she was wearing underneath. He shifted in his bed, as his nether-regions stirred to life, as he let his mind wander a moment before she cleared her throat.
She kept her eyes locked on him as he took her in. She knew that his curiosity was rising, and when she saw that his mind was leaving the room, she decided to bring him back. “I know what you’re thinking,” she said in a sing song voice, clearly amused. She loved that she had this effect on him. Her hands went up to her neck, and she unbuttoned the top two buttons of her coat, but still not giving him a glance of her little surprise. “Damn it…” She looked back up to him. “Jason?”
“Yeah,” he said, amusement also clear in his voice.
“It’s stuck. Do you think you can help me?” It wasn’t stuck, she knew it. He knew it.
“I’ll see what I can do.”
She bit her lip as she walked towards him, slowly making her way to the side of his bed. He re-adjusted himself again, deciding to torture both of them a bit. Once she reached him, he went straight to work, pretending that the button was indeed stuck, and definitely taking his time in “fixing” it. Once he got that one undone, he did the same with the next two, moving very slowly, taking delight at seeing her tortured pleasure.
“Damn it Jason, you’re going too slow!” She smacked his hands away and took a couple of steps back. “I can do this faster.”
She made quick work of the rest of the buttons, and Jason’s eyes grew wide. She merely smiled upon seeing his jaw drop when the coat dropped from her shoulders. Christmas had arrived early. His eyes roamed greedily, taking in the site of Sam, his Sam, dressed in very little. Spaghetti straps the only thing on her shoulders, the red satin outfit with white fur trim came to an abrupt stop several inches above her knees. She turned around in front of him, giving him a glance at the skirt, if you could call it that, that had indeed covered her backside, but just barely.
        “Wow,” he managed to say.
“Like your Christmas gift, do you?” She took a step closer to the bed.
“You could say that.” He held out his hand to her, pulling her to him quickly when she took it. Before she could protest, he covered her mouth with his, pulling her effectively on top of him. His arms went around her as he felt her hands in his hair. Neither of them noticed when the door started to open, or the shocked look of the person now standing in front of them. It wasn’t until they heard the sound of a box hitting the floor that they broke apart, turning to see the cause of the noise.
Their reactions were different, but the feelings were the same. Jason sighed and glared, while Sam rolled her eyes. Another interruption. She couldn’t wait until they got back to the penthouse. Making a mental note to herself to change the locks before they went home, Sam reluctantly moved off the bed, picking her coat up off the floor and slipping it on before turning back to the intruder, who was now gaping openly at both of them, speechless.
“Is there a reason you’re here Courtney?” Sam said as she crossed her arms in front of her. She wasn’t shy, or embarrassed, she was pissed off. They were both sick of being interrupted, but this time, Sam had to tamp down her urge to laugh. She never liked Courtney, as she knew that Courtney had always been pining for Jason. No matter that she had both Jax and Nikolas, not to mention her miracle pregnancy to keep her busy. Maybe it was appropriate that the bimbo had walked in on them. Maybe seeing them like that would actually penetrate into her thick skull that she had no place in his life.
“I…I, uh, just wanted to bring Jason some Christmas cheer. I didn’t want him to be alone.” She stammered, rubbing her forehead and looking at the ground.
“Right,” Sam said sarcastically. “You didn’t want Jason to be alone. Never mind that he has a fiancée, and a family of his own, most of whom actually work in the hospital.”
        “I, just..uh,”
Sam couldn’t hold her laughter back anymore. Jason looked at her a moment before letting out a chuckle of his own. “I’m sorry Jason, I couldn’t stop myself. How many times is this now? It’s just ridiculous.” She looked over to Courtney. “I knew it was only a matter of time. I mean, we’ve had Robin interrupt, we’ve had Carly interrupt, it was just a matter of time before this one interrupted too.”
Jason looked thoughtful for a minute. Of course, Sam was right. He turned and looked at Courtney, who was still rubbing her forehead and looking all over the place, her weight shifting on her feet. “Courtney I think it’s time for you to leave.” He watched as she just continue to stand there. Then he looked back over to Sam, who opened her coat for a moment before winking at him. “Courtney, I said it’s time for you to leave. NOW.”
Courtney looked up, clearly stunned. “Yeah, uh, well, Merry Christmas Jason.” Not even sparing a look at Sam, she turned and stomped from the room, clearly on the verge of one of her temper tantrums.
Jason turned towards Sam again, moving quickly and grabbing the strap from the tie of her coat, which had been left undone the whole time. He made quick work of removing the coat before pulling her back on the bed.
        “Now, where were we?”
