I think people voted for Melissa because she is a great dancer...even if she ends up not being able to dance...I think Chuck/Julianne should have left first...like Bruno said Melissa has been the best dancer in comparison to C/J up until this week. I am sure Ty will probably go next week...I like him, too and I think he does really well with certain dancers...you can almost picture him in the rodeo ring the way he carries himself which helps with his dance posture.

ANother thing that bothers me about Melissa is that when DWTS started, it was supposed to that these celebrities didn't have any dance training. I read somewhere that she had extensive ballet training when she was young, I think up until she was like 18 or something. That's a whole 'nother ball game and, I think, unfair to the others. I know people were upset about Sabrina having hip-hoppy dance experience, but ballet is different. Especially if their definition of extensive is the same as mine.

I've read that most of the females have had some kind of dance lessons when they were younger. Jane Seymour,Marie Osmond,Kristi Yamaguchi,Priscilla Presley. I was glad to see Melissa gets a chance to see if her ribs will respond to treatment.Her taped rehersal was better than and of Ty's dances. He really should have went home before Chuck. He seems like a really nice guy but he's sure not much of a dancer.

Posts: 1669 05/05/09 10:20 PM	Who else got a kick out of Derek's face when it was revealed he was going? Actually, I'm not sure who had the strangest expression - Derek or Mark. My daughter was excited that Ty moved on and gave us this big long speech about how you're supposed to vote for the celebrity, not the professional, and how she didn't like Lil Kim. I'm shocked though. Put me right up there with Derek and Mark.

Posts: 1100 05/19/09 6:52 AM Soap Fan	After watching last night, I voted for Shawn. IMO, she is the only one who had a good freestyle. Gilles is my second choice and Melissa is my third. I like Melissa and all, but she has been pretty much the same throughout the whole competition.

Posts: 1669 05/19/09 10:45 AM	I missed most of last night. I saw the opening dance and saw Melissa freestyle and part of Gilles' but nothing of Shawn's. I usually hate the freestyles - I'm like Len in that respect, it's just a bunch of flips and hopping around. Very little actual dancing to me. Out of the ones who are left - I guess I'm hoping Shawn wins just because I like her, not necessarily because I think she's the best dancer. I really have no stake in any of them this year.

All season its been a contest to see who was the better dancer between Gilles and Melissa but some how Shawn walks away with it. It could be another shocker tonite on Idol because if Dialidol.com is right then Kris Allen beat out Adam Lambert by 1%.

Kris and Adam were very close in teh last vote, when Danny left. Now, Danny's fans are going to vote for Kris or Adam. Which one is closer to Danny's style?? See what I'm saying? I tried voting last night but the phone lines for busy busy busy... which is a good thing I guess. But I didnt get many votes in.

Posts: 1100 05/20/09 10:03 AM Soap Fan	Yeah for Shawn! DWTS totally came out the way I expected. I only watched bits and pieces of the last couple of AI. Kris is more my style than Adam. I hope he wins. Adam is a great performer, but he is just too screechy for me. Maybe this year will be like last year. Everyone thought Archuletta would win, but he didn't. It seems as if everyone think s Adam is going to win, so maybe he won't.

I really thought Giles would win...everyone was swooning over him....and he is an awesome dancer...but I think Shawn is just as worthy...she really brought it to the table in the finals. Wow, how close was that less than one percent. I thought Giles was so gracious about losing by so little. I agree about Melissa...she was good from the beginning...but you didn't see a lot of growth. Here's to next season! So far all the Olympiads who have made it to finals have won...that is pretty impressive.
