Posts: 1669 04/01/09 9:14 PM	Tags : None I'm posting this here because, well, this is the soap forum that gets the most readers..... Saw on the web that Guiding Light is over. Sept 18th to be the last show after 72 years. My guess is that other soaps will follow, probably sooner rather than later. Too bad these shows that absolutely rocked in the 80's are completely worthless now. It's sad really. I never watched GL but can only wait for the other shoes to drop for DAYS and GH.

Yeah the ratings might be down but those fans are just scary and there might be riots in the streets if that happened. So much for Kim Zimmer's "Tony Geary" contract. Fire Frons Now.

Posts: 923 04/03/09 9:05 AM	I don't know about the writing on other shows, but it wouldn't surprise me if GH got axed sooner or later. They need to get back to what the viewers want. GH has turned into General Mafia and while a little bit of that is OK it shouldn't dominate the entire show. If I wanted to watch the Soprano's I would.
