They certainly could and I think that is probably what will end up happening. That would be the right thing to do.

General Hospital's Charity Event begins the week of January 12th. All of Port Charles will be there for the sweeps-like disaster that follows. The crisis at GH will include a few deaths.

Maxie goes to extremes for Spinelli -- is it a jealous streak, woman's intuition, or both? When she can't get Spin to see that Winifred is trouble, Maxie seduces him instead. Spin catches on and they argue. Turns out that Maxie is right. Winifred is a Fed who is hoping to gain access to Sonny through Spinelli.

Kelly's rises again? Luke and Bobbie discuss the possibility.

Ric tells Johnny that he is the only one who can help him.

Luke agrees to help when Lulu pleads with him to come to Johnny's aid.

Sonny could be putting himself in a bad position with his father-in-law when he agrees to work with Luke to free Johnny. Luke later announces the charges have been dropped.

Luke gets a warning from Ric not to cross Anthony.

Week of January 12th

It's Nikolas and Nadine vs. Washington D.C.
Claudia pushes Sonny to remove Jason from the equation. Meanwhile she is still searching for the incriminating DVD.

Jax and Carly make some progress which leads to a night of romance

Kate discovers proof of Claudia's hand in Michael's shooting, and she doesn't do the expected

Spinelli is arrested for treason! The feds offer to drop the charges against Spin in exchange for Jason working with the feds against Sonny and Anthony.

Sonny accuses Jason of betraying him. The two men come clean with each other.

Nikolas flips when he gets an eyeful of Rebecca.

Claudia arouses Ric's suspicion.

Patrick starts to recall what happened before the disaster.

Jay you're so right. Lulu's smug little attitude makes me hope someone will slap her. She's a mouthy little brat when she's with Johnny.

Agreed Timmy. When Johnny is in trouble is just redux. I enjoy their interaction with SpinMax too. They are a cute little group and their apartment scenes have been fun to watch. But frankly I'd like Johnny to stay in jail and fade away.

Another crisis...fire!!

After Ethan thinks he has hustled Luke, Luke surprises Ethan at a bar outside of Port Charles. A kinship slowly forms as Luke comes to realize that he and this know-it-all kid have more in common than he might like to think.

Ethan is going to eventually come through for Luke when it comes to Lulu.

Lucky's feelings for Liz are apparent to Sam.

Winnifred s going to help Spin during the crisis.

Rebecca's tail has a name--Nikolas.

Leyla dies.

Nadine fades away.

Week of 2/2

Claudia gets a does of Daddy Dearest.
Who goes there in that hazmat suit? Whoever it is, takes something out of the OR.
Leyla is in bad shape.

Claudia is among the desperately ill, requiring a ventilator to breathe...but her life is in more danger from Daddy Z. Anthony prepares to dispense with his daughter to prevent Sonny from discovering his dastardly deed. He tries to disengage the ventilator but keeps being interrupted. On the last try, Claudia is able to press the call button. This is actually lucky for Anthony because shortly after than, Trevor arrives intent on killing him.

Spinelli is convinced that the toxic spheres must not fall into the hands of the Feds.

One of the spheres goes missing!

Unbeknownst to Daddy, Claudia tells Sonny that Anthony was behind Kate's shooting. Sonny is waiting when Anthony returns yet again, intent on finishing her off. Jason talks Sonny out of killing Anthony but Anthony is not off the hook yet. He finds himself bound up and alone when the next crisis begins..

Spinelli finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Just as Nikolas comes face to face with Rebecca, the Operating Room explodes!

For Kate, mums the word, but there's nothing wrong with Claudia's yapper.

Olivia fancies herself the glue that will bind Jax and Carly.

Johnny learns that Lulu is on to him.

Sam seeks out Jason's help.

Robin is finally able to recognize her need to seek help for her PPD.

Liz and Lucky pitch a tent.
