AMC doesn't seem to 'get' that characters make sense and work only within certain contexts (families). Greenlee had Mary, had Roger (I HATE the Jackson is her dad stuff), Leo, David... and an enemy in the MIL Vanessa. Everyone is gone but Greenlee... the forced Rylee pairing didn't work the first time, and it's not going to work now. Especially as Greenlee is now a totally separate entity.

It is not the actress of Greenlee i think.. I just have no use for the character right now as she does not fit in the canvas anymore.... She is just back to ruin ryan life.. She is not exciting anymore and i have no sympothy for her.

I don't know I am hopeful with the new writters. If they are the same ones who brought the heat to PC when they started the "books" they might be able to help AMC. I'm not saying I want that format but they wrote some pretty steamy stuff. I know a lot of you were not into PC because of the vampire thing but it was well written.

I'm really starting to think they want this show canned. Is there actually anyone that watches this show that likes NUgreenlee? I mean she is just horrible and it's not even her fault really.

How about getting rid of greenlee and annie??? Annie and her whining can shove it where it don't shine. Greenlee and ehr whining about having spike as her baby....She left and should have stayed gone....

AMC is the main soap I watch right now, I dont want it canned. It would not serve me well. But I shook my head earlier tonight watching it and wished that Zarf was back. I hate as in loathe to hate NUGREENLEE. I dont have soapnet and only watch my soaps on VHS at night.

Oy vey, The only way they can redeem themselves is to get rid of the careys, Nu Greenlee and Annie. Other than that it's the same ole story. I fear that they will get rid of Myrtle, Joe, Opal, Palmer and probably Sydney. If you asked me 6 months ago who they should get rid of, I would add Colby. However, I think she has actually appoved a little bit and should stay.

I don't think Frons and the AMC people realize how close they might be to getting canned. Now that the Dimeras...

hmmm, I'm not sure it really means focusing on the younger actors though.

this is what it says:

"...I can tell you that we do have more casting shake ups coming to a screen near you very soon. The new writers have a new vision. Some of those lingering rarely seen actors are on their way out. Pine Valley will have a very different look once all is said and done (affecting the 90210 mansion for lost souls most of all)."

I watched the entire episode last wednesday and it was just awful.
I hate the new Greenlee.

Raven Beauty in her spoiler column over on SOC said the new writers have a new direction for the show, which will involve getting rid of the remaining rarely seen vets and focusing even more on the new and younger characters.

Heaven help us.

Doesn't inspire me to tune back in! I'm willing to BET this is preceding a move to Soapnet only, doing a GH: Night Shift type show with AMC, and maybe eventually getting rid of AMC. Heck, I think they already did and are just...
